About War Child UK

We are an international charity that protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children caught up in war.

War Child UK has been working with the gaming industry for over 10 years, working on interesting and unique charity activations with top games like Football Manager, This War of Mine, and World of Tanks. Gaming has helped raise over $4 million to provide support for children across the Middle East, Asia and Africa through game purchases and running charity streams as a part of War Child’s gaming campaigns.

Why choose gaming for War Child UK?

War Child UK have a number of Gaming events throughout the year

Day of the Girl

Girls are often disproportionately affected when conflict breaks out. War Child aims to highlight this during International Day of the Girl on October 11. Join us by playing our favourite games with female protagonists, raise money, and help support our work promoting girls’ empowerment and protecting their human rights.

Armistice

Coinciding with Armistice Day on November 11, Armistice aims to encourage pacifist gameplay in your favourite games to help raise money for War Child’s work to protect, educate, and stand up for the rights of children.

RE-PLAY

Reconnect with games from childhood in April to raise money and help protect the right to play for some of the world’s most vulnerable children.
